Last week began with some intense emotional leftovers from the previous week. Amongst these loose ends were a deep calling for balance, not only for the situations creating these rushes of emotions, but a balance of the energy centers within our being. Chakra work seemed to be the theme in finding that balance. Where one energy was working out the kinks, another energy was effected by it or was required to assist in completing the balance of both.
Chakra in Sanskrit means "wheel", and in the body's energy system there are several Chakra points however, most focus on the seven major Chakras. These seven energies function as spinning wheels or disks of energy that correlate to a specific region of the energy body beginning at the base of the pelvic floor and rise up to the crown space at the top of the head. When any of the seven energy centers are out of balance you can experience symptoms on all levels of your being such as physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. These symptoms can range from head or stomach aches to experiencing “foggy brain”, as well as feeling intense emotions out of the blue, or disconnected from your spiritual path.
One of the more present energies of the week was in the Throat Chakra. It is incredible how much tension can be created when communication is halted or held back. The energy center is labeled as the throat Chakra but it includes the neck, jaw, and ears as well as all forms of communication including writing. Last week was all about finding your way through speaking your truth. For some this task comes quite easily and for others it can be extremely challenging. The benefits of owning your truth are abundant and come with the knowledge that your thoughts and voice are relevant, are important and are valued. Your expression of truth helps others understand what your needs are and offer a deep sense of authenticity not only for others but for yourself as well. As you begin to allow your truth to move through, you become empowered with a deep sense of clarity and understanding of yourself and this is what is felt by others. It is also important to remember that their response or reaction to your truth has nothing to do with you, nor does it change your truth, it is simply the way that they are processing it.
The other deeply present energy on the front lines last week was the Sacral or Belly Chakra located below the belly button down to the pubic bone. This energy center is responsible for emotion, manifestation, creation and boundaries to name a few. In speaking your truth there are many emotional blocks that can arise that make the task daunting. It is important to remember that you are an intelligent being who is strong and deserving of the life you desire. Acknowledging the power of your own ability to manifest creatively through speaking your truth is a beautiful way for your needs to be met. Next time you feel captive to your emotional needs and are hesitant to speak your truth try saying to yourself, "When I speak my truth, all my needs are met." This mantra helps to shift any stuck energies around asking for what you need. It can also help break down the stuck energies or bottled up emotions that are restricting the manifestations you are working to create.
There are always things in life that cause a rise in emotion or stress. It boils down to how you choose to deal with those moments that demonstrates who you are at the core. The acceptance of truth begins within you and when you are willing to acknowledge your needs, you can help to educate others on how to treat you moving forward. Remember that you are valuable and with the wisdom to speak your truth for the benefit if all living beings.
