Welcoming in the water last week was a rush of so many “W’s” that washed away the worry, and felt like a win for heart and soul. One day at a time I felt the process of myself slowly being put back together. The centering of an already complete being who began the week feeling like a puzzle that had been dumped out on the table with the thought of, “Ok, where do I begin?” The truth of it is that in this human experience we get lost and forget that we already existing as a whole and complete being. The details of life become a distraction from the existence we are already living within our own universe, ourselves…our spirit. What it means on a more intimate scale, is that many of us are choosing to struggle to get to the spiritual consciousness within ourselves which already exists. We have things happen in life that distract us from that consciousness, things that take us out of the practices which support our relationship to inner source. For me, the struggle happens when I lose sight of the existence of my own light and. I feel a bit of darkness begin to seep into my actions, or lack of action in some cases. I sense the fog drift in and out preventing my ability to be clear with my decisions, my words and my energy. The trick, when the road of clarity is washed out, is to come back to the practices that clear the fog and I am certain for myself that it is a short distance to travel.
There will always be chunks of time in life that are more of a challenge than others and it can be tricky to spot when the light is present at the break in the tunnel. Last week gave you time to re-acquaint yourself with the lighted path especially if you had veered off a little. When it feels like you are in a thousand pieces, being pulled in different directions and generally overwhelmed by what is happening around you, it is only a matter of time before it begins to make you feel the same energy within your heart. You hear people say that “life happens” all of the time and it may even be something you find yourself saying to others however, it is in this acknowledgement of life that the true practice begins. Notice how you respond to the intensity within and around you. Are you actively tapping your full breath or do you feel the pressure rise to the collar bones and shoulders? Do you skip your movement class here and there until you are no longer attending? Can you feel the events throughout the world sparking some deeper emotional response that pushes you to lash out, followed by some sense of guilt or judgement? These are all reactions to you allowing life to take you away from your practice of spiritual consciousness. The moment you begin to practice breathing fully in your body and add movement back to your regiment, the heightened emotions take care of themselves and you see the darkness in the tunnel break open with light and clarity.
Sometimes the rising out of struggle can mean pulling yourself out of it mentally. The universe has a funny way of giving you exactly what your focus is on no matter the circumstance which sometimes can become a trap for your mind. If you are focused on things falling apart in any aspect, you will find that things continue to fall apart in all aspects. For example if you spill coffee on your shirt and hold onto that disappointment, you might find that throughout the day you mis-scheduled an important meeting, then get a flat tire on the way home in the rain. You get to choose what you hold onto and what you allow to dominate your thoughts in life and since it is your thoughts that contribute to your life’s creation, you have more control than you realize to overcome the shadow of negativity. In the depth of your heart and soul you know that you are worthy and deserving of happiness, abundance, and most importantly love and the mind seems to want to undermine that worthiness. So again, this is where you align yourself to the practices that breathe and move you.
Much of last week involved the energy of balance and alignment from the sides of the body. The water element ever so present in washing away the excess and cleansing the soul’s pallet to make room for the new energies and experiences to come in. As the weeks have passed, I have noticed a cooler energy present, with a feeling that the energy body is constantly releasing, so much so that it has become difficult to feel warmth. I invite you to be conscious to this if you are experiencing this in any way. Allow yourself specific times to connect to warmth and be open to trying new ways to do so. There may be preparation in the works for some of us to step up and you will want to be ready for whatever that is.
