Whenever I mention September I see noses crinkle, lips purse and jaws clench in sync with the eyes squeezing shut! Make no mistake, September 2016 was a month that will be committed to memory as a time that brought great joy in its passing. This last week opened my eyes to the value within the experience of life. I see a veil lifting away from my intuitive heart that has gifted deep moments of clarity that bring in the truth of the light and all that is good around me. I experienced profound moments of clarity in different conversations and it was in the permission to speak freely at those moments, which supported the clearest picture for me to move forward and release what I had been holding onto. I found it quite curious how the Fox Totem began to show itself throughout the week. The fox carries many significant traits and connections to deepened sight of other realms and existence. It is an omen of family and brilliant observations skills allowing it to see the integrity of others not by their words but by their actions. I find this a fitting energy as we ended the week with an intense new moon reminding us that we are moving forward.
When times are challenging, being able to accept the truth of the light and what is good, becomes a process that seems to use up a lot of your energy. Staying in the light when things feel dark begins to tap your energy reserves and becomes heavy or weighted. It is important to know that there is a way for you to lighten the load. Many times in life the inner shadow wants to come out and play and when this happens it can feel like it is wrong to allow it to be there. So much of the spiritual teachings are about embracing your light, shine your light in the world, or they refer to feelings such as anger, fear, frustration, and sadness and profess how when you feel them you must quickly release them so you can move on. While some of that makes sense, if you move through them too quickly in order to reach that light space, you may gloss over them altogether leaving a residue of those energies that will certainly come through again. What happens if you give yourself permission to sit in the anger and be angry? This is sometimes the way it must happen. You must give yourself time to be in the uncomfortable energies that present themselves, no matter how ugly or upsetting they are. By depriving yourself of the opportunity to experience all levels of your being you are denying the very existence of who you are. Light doesn’t existing without shadow or darkness, happiness isn’t possible without some sadness. It is the way of balance and when you are able to offer yourself permission to feel the darkness of the shadow within you and befriend it, you create an empowered lightness filled with the understanding of greater possibility.
In many ways this empowered balance relates directly to the existence of the Fox energy. The fox is a cunning and agile animal that has been linked to invisibility and shapeshifting. Fox hold a sense of foresight to danger and is able to intuitively avoid it while using its greater sense of camouflage to watch and learn. This type of energy becomes a presence practice, inviting you to embody the senses and remain observant of what is going on within you and around you. This also teaches you the importance of balance, as not to be seen inauthentic or fake. Fox has a way of out-maneuvering both prey and predator by using its inner wisdom to hide its tracks and truly becoming unseen. If you continue in this sort of stealth mode, you might find yourself viewed as the trickster that is disingenuous and deceptive. Of course you always have the option to be in the energy and not of it, keeping yourself wrapped in light, and non-invasive in order to witness who and what you are around allowing you to blend in and sense the truth of what is present in the spaces around you.
Weather you found yourself opening to the truth or camouflaged in the corner watching, it was a great opportunity to seek out the balance within you. The new moon which ended the week is said to bring about an intense time of decision making and challenges in how you allow others to influence you. Remember that you are intuitive and strong and you know the truth deep within your soul. Do not allow yourself to be swayed beyond what you know as your truth.
