A fortunate awakening arrived as a result of last week’s full moon, solar eclipse in the sense of the balance of all things. It was a week that felt as though my head was floating about twelve inches on top of my shoulders, not fully attached to my physical body. When this happens, I recognize that have let go of the conscious grounding practices that help me be sure footed when the rush of massive energy moves through with changes and transitions. I also (after the fact) realize that I have allowed myself to spiral out, up into the stars, losing a bit of focus as I move into the realms of responsibility. What I can say about last week is, thank goodness the eclipse season is over until the fall!
The week began with the continuation of the full Spring Equinox transition. Coming out of winter was really a breath of fresh air filled with the blooms of all the seeds that had been planted since the beginning of this year. As you may find more sunlight in your days, you may also find a light shining more brightly and expansive on the blooms that are pushing up through the soil of your inner landscape. This can be a challenge for you to see what is arising and can feel very different from the energy it held when you originally set it in the soil, but it is so important for you to remember that the energy of the full moon is supporting all of the connections that will bring fullness and abundance within. It is perfectly okay that you many not feel the same strength of desire, as you look upon the arrangement you planted back then, however there is a powerful realization with the transitions of the moon, that you can change your mind and direction in any moment of your choosing. If you are unsure of how to do this, spend some time connecting to practices that center you and bring clarity; meditate, hike, do Yoga, sit with friends, read, etc. You have the power to recognize and embrace your strength, even in the moments when it feels overwhelming or impossible.
As we stepped fully into the beginning of last week, the full moon, known as the Worm Moon in Native American cultures, was accompanied by a Lunar Eclipse. The Worm Moon is the last full moon of winter and speaks to the ground softening for the worms to begin their work of service and sustenance. The Lunar Eclipse brought about a couple days of intense reminders of finding the balance in all things, as it was connected to the sign of Libra (the scales). This means that you were thrown into the week to acknowledge the balance of relationships of every aspect of your being. Whether it be love, business, or yourself, the mirror of life was reflecting your chosen existence within those relationships. For some of you that reflection may have been the lighted connection you create to flourish, and for some there may have been some sense of shadow that keeps you stagnated within your own darkness. Either way, the Eclipse brought about an opportunity for you to see that reflection and really look it in the eye. When you put the light of your awareness onto the shadowy places of the deep, you empower yourself to set it free, to release energies causing the blocks of stagnant energy. Some of the shadows you released last week may have been there for lifetimes, so remember to be very compassionate with yourself and honor the process of release.
Wednesday, in particular, was a day that felt very airy and unsettled, and brought about a significant acknowledgement of the importance of taking care of yourself. When you make changes in your life and are healing deep wounds, you must make adjustments to how you care for yourself. Many forget that as you are in a healing process, you are using more energy emotionally, physically and sometimes mentally. The excitement of forward motion can be blinding to the fact that you use more energy and so you must raise the volume of your nourishment and self-care. This will allow your entire system of body-mind-spirit to maintain balance while you are in the ebb and flow of life’s changes.
As the week moved to a close, there was a great deal of opportunity to reflect. To see how far you have come and realize that you are continuing to move forward. Every moment you exist is your conscious decision to step into something new or refresh the energies of things of old. Either way, recognize your courage to heal and to see what reflects in the mirror. You are a powerful light that exists to bring your own sense and flow to the world.
