There are certain times when life takes me for a ride, and this year seems like one of those times and it became very clear to me in the last week. You would think that this would appear obvious to me in the moment, however I find that when I am living it, the signs aren’t flashing brightly and waving me down like a stranded traveler, instead, they feel more like a stowaway on a ship that brings them all the way to shore before realizing they have been there the whole time. What is left but to accept the journey for what it is and continue to put one foot in front of the other. In this practice I find that it allows me time to slow down and really see and feel the moments of importance. Of course this doesn’t mean that I stay present to every moment of every day, but I really tried to stay in the practice of coming back to it as much as possible. I was observing the rolling waves of the ocean this weekend and realized that they would roll in approximately 7 sets and then there would be a calm pause; this was the ocean coming back to the practice. As feelings and releases move through my presence I found myself vividly aware of my commitment to this place I am in and how being in and out of the calm inspires me to take full ownership of my truth and my worth in this life. This my friends was the sweet consumption of love for the week.
Acceptance played a huge roll last week for many, especially toward the end of the week where Mercury went retrograde. Of course, there is always a build up to the retrograde moving through and while this is a blessed time for a few of you, it wreaks havoc on all the rest. Mercury is the planet that rules communications of all forms, even electronic so if you found yourself struggling to be clear or understood in any way you were not alone. These energetic movements arrived in waves moving through the week, and like the ocean some of them came one right after the next until there was a moment of calm letting you catch up and prepare for the next set to move through. In many ways, last week could be viewed as a dance of learning to work with the ebbs and flows as well as the peaks and valleys. When you feel the high frequencies of energy moving in and it seems that it will continue to go up and up and up, this is the perfect time to ground yourself. Really take a look at why this energy is moving so rapidly and try to recognize that you can change it. You can ground, breathe and accept that this is coming up for you, so that you can see what has been buried and release it. As you accept your part in it, the energies will begin to subside and you can find those moments of peace in the valleys.
With the intensity of the peaks last week, the importance of surrendering to the process was present. You each have your own way of dealing with this emotional and intense energy when it rises, but also remember that the moment you allow yourself to be swept up with the wave, you have taken yourself out of the practice of grounding, breathing and accepting presence. Some of the things that rose up last week may have been hold hurts, stories that you have accepted as truths that may not be, or pain that you simply didn’t know how to handle. These are not always the easiest things to face mentally, emotionally or spiritually, however the practice of remaining present to what it is that is arising may bring a surprising amount of freedom and liberation from the chains that are breaking as you choose to see these energies and look them in the eye. Beautiful empowerment arises from the shadows and brings you to the clear calm that remains while the next set of waves rolls in.
What was left after you rode those waves for a while? Taking full ownership of your truth and worth in this life! If you were able to see pieces of yourself that you had previously been unable or unwilling to acknowledge and flow through all aspects of them into grounded release, then you may have felt lighter and more free by the weeks end. This doesn’t have to be a grueling process every time. There will be waves that suck you under and waves that you ride through like a boss but no matter which one you are experiencing you will be a brighter expression of your truth and authenticity. In this you can begin to see the places you couldn’t or wouldn’t and allow yourself to feel worthy. The highs and lows will continue, and you will be stronger with each new wave. Much Love!
